New BellBloc Fabric Liners Eliminate PFAS Chemicals

Belltex, producer of the BellBloc fabric liners, has introduced new versions of its products that eliminate PFAS chemicals. The BellBloc 68GRN and BellBloc 100GRN liners still offer the same levels of protection from moisture, mold, and mildew to keep indoor and outdoor cushions dryer, cleaner, and loftier. But the new, more environmentally-friendly versions offer a better “green” alternative while also meeting all regulatory requirements.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a large, complex group of synthetic chemicals that have been used in consumer products around the world since the 1950s. Called “forever chemicals,” recent research has shown multiple health effects associated with PFAS exposure.

The only difference between the current BellBloc system and the new ‘green’ BellBloc system is the loss of oil-based repellency, something that the entire industry is facing with the elimination of PFAS.
