Tip #2: Through SexySleep research, a number of couples interviewed regretted purchasing a memory foam mattress because it detracted from intimate moments. Many consumers in the study described sex and an Ultimate Hybrid as: “bounce,” “quiet,” and “balance,” while intimacy on memory foam as being “stuck in quicksand,” “uncomfortable,” “difficult,” and even “horrible.”

The purpose of SexySleep research was to bring intimacy issues to the consumer’s attention, and to highlight a type of mattress that supports both sex and sleep.

58% of consumers said intimacy/sex will be a determining factor when they buy their next mattress. One participant said, “...I’ve never thought about it like that... but I will now as it totally makes sense, especially for mattresses.”

Leggett & Platt also learned that 73% of consumers who tried an Ultimate Hybrid foud it “very” and “most” responsive/comfortable for intimacy/sex performance. They also learned that less than 50% of consumers consider memory foam more appealing for those parameters.
