Decorating Den Interiors has named David Haseley director of design adding that responsibility to his duties as sr. vice president, merchandising and national marketing.

“As part of David’s merchandising responsibility, he has been a constant coach and advocate for excellence in design,” said James S. Bugg, Jr., president and CEO. “He provides ongoing education on how our suppliers enhance the ability of our design professionals to provide unique design solutions for clients. He also develops trend reports after each High Point market for our designers to use as seminars to present in their local markets.”

“David has been a key partner in the development of DDI for over 30 years,” Bugg added. “He was a leading franchise owner in Florida and one of the first to create a team. He moved to Cincinnati where his primary focus was to open franchises and build the Southern Ohio Northern Kentucky Region, which eventually became our largest region at that time. He created many designs for satisfied clients and truly knows our business from inspiration to reality.”

Haseley later joined Fabricut as Vice President of Sales in the Hospitality Division where he consulted with numerous designers throughout the U.S. and Canada to inspire hotel interior designs that would use Fabricut fabrics. He also served Hunter Douglas as vice president of sales, again in hospitality design. He rejoined Decorating Den Interiors as part of the senior executive team in 2010.

“We want everything we do to work toward our overwhelming goal of being known for extraordinary design,” Haseley said. “I am confident that with our extensive LIVV Home Collection™ of fine furnishing suppliers we will continue to build that reputation.”

Previously, Carol Bugg, ASID, served as director of design for more than 40 years until her retirement. She and her husband, James S. Bugg, Sr., joined Decorating Den in 1984 and transformed it from a shop-at-home drapery franchise company to a full-service interior design and home furnishings business model with franchises throughout the U.S. and Canada.
