Hooker Furnishings has appointed Curtis Bolick to vice president of sales and merchandising. In this new role, Bolick will lead the merchandising efforts for the Bradington-Young brand. In addition, he will be responsible for driving the sales efforts for two of the company’s domestic upholstery divisions, including Bradington-Young and HF Custom, alongside Matt Cowan, executive vice president of sales, Hooker Legacy Brands.

A well-respected sales and merchandising expert, Bolick began his career in the furniture industry at Bradington-Young. 23 years later, he re-joins the leadership team most recently from JBS Couros, a global leather source. He reports to Craig Young, president of Bradington-Young and HF Custom.

“We are thrilled to welcome Curtis back to the Hooker Furnishings team,” said Young. “In looking to fill this role, we were looking for a candidate with a sales-centric focus along with proven success in product development and creating new business opportunities. Curtis checked all these boxes, and we are confident that his addition to the team will allow us to continue to our positive momentum with these brands.”

Bolick began his career in the furniture industry at Bradington-Young as sales and marketing manager, quickly working his way to national sales manager. From there, he spent five years at HDM Furniture, a division of Furniture Brands International, where he served as director of leather sourcing and merchandising as well as brand manager for Drexel-Heritage. He also served as president and CEO of Olivia + Quinn, a boutique leather upholstery resource based in Hickory.

With more than 10 years of experience in leather sales, he also held several leadership positions with leading industry suppliers including Leather Miracles, where he was vice president of sales and product development and JBS Couros, where he was most recently US senior sales manager.

Bolick holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice with a double minor in business and psychology from Appalachian State University. He resides in Hickory, NC, with wife and son.
