SexySleep Tip #6- Promoting Mattress Sex Appeal Tastefully

Tip #6: When Legget & Platt in association with GoodBed.com interviewed  mattress industry retail sales associates (RSAs),  76% said the mattress industry should use sex appeal in a tasteful way to create more interest in its products, considering the direct connection between the mattress and intimacy. As Leggett & Platt’s Mark Quinn put it, “You have companies using sex to sell a wide range of products, when there is virtually no direct connection to sex. Why? Because it works. However, those products don’t have the luxury of being closely connected to sex, like a mattress.”

The research also found that 73% of consumers interviewed consider the Ultimate Hybrid mattress “very” and “most” responsive/comfortable for intimacy/sex performance. The SexySleep research project had consumers compared an Ultimate Hybrid, made with Leggett & Platt’s Comfort Core fabric-encased innersprings, to an equally priced memory foam mattress.
