Universal Furniture and Crypton Invite Interior Designers to ‘sit & Sip’

Universal Furniture, in collaboration with Crypton Home Fabric, cordially invites interior designers to take the 'Sit and Sip' test at Fall Market, Friday through Monday, on the first floor of the Universal showroom. The gatherings are designed to showcase the exceptional quality, comfort and craftsmanship of Universal’s bench made upholstery and illustrate the resilience of Crypton fabrics.

“Our Sit and Sip test offers interior designers the chance to personally experience the exceptional quality of Universal Furniture’s Special Order Upholstery Program,” said Neil MacKenzie, senior vice president marketing at Universal Furniture. “Bench made right here in North Carolina with superior craftsmanship, luxe materials and attention to detail, our program rivals any custom upholstery maker in the state.”

The Sit and Sip test will be held Friday, October 13 through Monday, October 16, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., and champagne and wine will be served during this time. Participants will have the opportunity to experience Universal's plush upholstered seating, learn the construction story and put Crypton performance fabric through a spill test using Coke and a highlighter. Universal invites participants to capture memorable moments by taking photos and sharing them on social media with the tag @UniversalFurn. Those participating will receive 10 percent off their first Universal bench made upholstery order.

Universal’s special order upholstery program is manufactured in Conover, North Carolina with more than 70 percent of all frames made in-house. More than 400 fabric options are available in the program, with over 100 of those being performance fabrics, along with 50 leather choices and three cushion fill options. Universal’s special order upholstery ships within six to eight weeks.
