Mueller Furniture Gives Back to The Kaufman Fund, St. Louis Nonprofit that Assists Veterans

Mueller Furniture, a 4th generation family business with four locations across St. Louis and the Metro East, is providing a unique way for its employees to give back to the community. Every year, one employee is recognized for their outstanding achievements in sales and is recognized as the Sales Champion. As a reward, the employee gets a bonus and gets to choose a charity of their choice for the company to donate to. Alex Martin, the 2023 Sales Champion, has decided the company will donate $3,000 to The Kaufman Fund, a St. Louis nonprofit that assists veterans.
The Kaufman Fund helps support veterans and their families through resources for legal referral, dental referral, mental health referral, employment assistance and other programs that help support the quality of life of veterans.
“The Kaufman Fund is a fantastic local organization that assists veterans and their children in the St. Louis area,” said Martin. “Mueller Furniture’s donation will buy three veterans complete sets of dentures. I was able to spend time with the board members of this organization at one of their events last year and one of the biggest reasons I chose this organization is their board is 100% volunteer. All of the board members are also veterans themselves spanning the Korean War to the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. I’m a firm believer that I owe all of the freedoms I enjoy to the sacrifice of our men and women in uniform and I’m so thankful Mueller Furniture and owners Mark and Viviana for giving me the opportunity to thank them.”
Mark Mueller, Owner of Mueller Furniture said each month they award an employee the sales champion where the employee gets a bonus and then picks a charity of their choice for the company to donate $250. Along with the monthly award, the company also recognizes an annual champion who has sold the most inventory for the year.
"This type of recognition allows our employees to see their hard work is more than just about them and goes to something bigger,” said Mueller. “It allows them to be involved directly in the community. As a business owner, it is awesome to see our employees pick their charities and we are happy Alex has chosen to give back to a nonprofit with a strong mission."
