Bringing an unprecedented array of artisans, designers and makers together in a one-of-its-kind collaboration, Bergdorf Goodman and The Kaleidoscope Project are showcasing talent from all cultural corners of the world in an in-store pop-up exhibition dubbed A Celebration of Creativity and Culture. The eclectic collection of items, all available for sale, represents fine art paintings, functional art pieces such as furniture and lighting fixtures, sculptures crafted from various natural and manmade media, digital and graphic art, jewelry- making, ceramics, textiles and more. More than 60 artists are participating in the five-month- long exhibition, displayed on the 7th floor of Bergdorf Goodman’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Well-recognized names like Douriean Fletcher, jeweler and costume designer, known for her jewelry art featured in Black Panther and Coming to America, will exhibit alongside emerging artists selected from hundreds of submissions. A number of participants will debut entirely new works expressly for the exhibition, many of which are one-of-a-kind pieces.

“We’re thrilled to welcome The Kaleidoscope Project to Bergdorf Goodman’s legendary decorative home floor this season. The exhibition is a lively and dynamic collection of art and design items that we’re confident will delight our customers,” said Andrew Mandell, DMM, Decorative Home and Jewelry, Bergdorf Goodman.

This exhibition, envisioned by The Kaleidoscope Project, a non-profit that takes a broad-reaching approach to highlighting and promoting design talent from all cultural corners of the globe, runs from April 19 to August 5.

Bergdorf Goodman’s global platform appeal gives emerging and renowned artists a new audience which to showcase their works. The offerings in the exhibit are exclusively available for purchase at Bergdorf Goodman’s flagship store.

A VIP Meet the Makers cocktail party kicks off the project on April 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., held at Il Gattopardo, located at The Rockefeller Townhouse between 13-15 on West 54th Street in New York City. Tickets to the party can be purchased here.

“The enormous scope of art styles exemplifies one of The Kaleidoscope Project’s main missions, to unite people through art,” says Amy Lynn Schwartzbard, founder and executive director of The Kaleidoscope Project. “The diversity among our artists and their work has made this project incredibly unique.”
