Dufresne Spencer Group Opens New Ashley Store in Sterling Heights, Michigan

On Saturday, March 23, Dufresne Spencer Group (DSG) will celebrate the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of its new 47,819 sq. ft. Ashley showroom located at 14285 Hall Road, Shelby Township, MI 48315.

Dufresne Spencer Group (DSG) is the largest Ashley licensee in the world, and consists of 127 Ashley stores, 20 distribution centers, and 2 corporate offices across 12 states. The Sterling Heights store will employ approximately 25 people. The store’s interior architectural design includes the newest Ashley 7.0 store concept with a customer friendly layout that showcases the Ashley furniture line. The store has a simplified, bright, and open floor plan with our newest construction elements including the revamped mattress gallery featuring Ashley Sleep®, Tempur-Pedic® and Purple® mattresses. The showroom features complete lifestyle vignettes, down to the final detail of lighting, rugs, and wall art. Product categories include bedroom, dining room, upholstery, leather, occasional tables, home office, youth bedroom, recliners, mattresses, and accessories. Technology enhances the environment, incorporating various elements to improve the customer shopping experience.

Dufresne Spencer Group will celebrate the new Ashley store opening with an open-to-the-public grand opening event on Saturday, March 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST. The free event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, face painting and balloon twisting, a custom room spray workshop hosted by This Little Candle Co., a flower bar workshop from Mia’s Flower Truck, and food and beverages from The Waffle Way, Juice Your World, and The Cappuccino Man. Guests can also receive personalized permanent bracelets by making an appointment with Link x Lou. The first 50 guests will receive a Stanley Tumbler, and all attendees in line prior to 10 a.m. will be entered to win a pair of Apple Airpods Max. Hourly giveaways on-site will include a Nintendo Switch, Apple Airpods Pro and a YETI Cooler.  

In celebration of the opening, Ashley is hosting a “Test Rest'' giveaway. Through Sunday, March 24, guests can visit any Detroit area Ashley store and complete a “test rest” or mattress demo to be entered for a chance to win a Tempur-Pedic Queen Adapt Pro Mattress and Flat Foundation.

The new showroom is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. EST.
