Made Goods’ Family of Brands Expands Its Reach with the Burton James Brand

Chris DeWitt and Oscar Yague, the owners of Ardmore Home Design, Inc. (AHD), announce they have completed the acquisition of the Burton James brand, which will join their family of brands - Made Goods, Pigeon & Poodle and Blue Pheasant. This move marks a significant milestone for the brands, solidifying their positions as key players in the furniture industry with the addition of this established name in upholstery.
California-based Burton James, Inc., whose business spans over four decades, is a well-known upholstery manufacturer that has earned a reputation as a preferred resource for the interior design trade. Throughout its 40-year history, Burton James, Inc. has been known for providing the highest quality upholstered products with a focus on building long-term relationships.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Sean Gillespie has been appointed new Director of Sales for the brand. Sean brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in sales strategy, development, and client relationship management.
Sean will focus on fostering relationships with clients and building the Burton James brand, with a focus on product development, excellent customer service and new sales initiatives. Sean previously worked for the Made Goods’ family of brands from 2017-2022 as a National and New York City Territory Key Sales Manager. With his proven track record of providing exceptional customer service, delivering results and implementing innovative sales techniques, Sean will be instrumental in driving our growth strategy for Burton James forward.

Sean rejoined Made Goods’ family of brands on March 25th, with years of experience in sales management and upholstery development. Previously working at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams as a Regional Key Accounts Manager, he managed sales, product development, and national accounts. With his tenure and experience in the upholstery industry, and his relationships with designers and national retailers, he is poised to engage customers and provide insight on decisions regarding processes, procedures, programs, and designs.

Burton James will show this year at High Point market in its existing showroom at 310 N. Hamilton Street, High Point, North Carolina.
