LVDC Announces Two May Events

Las Vegas Design Center (LVDC) presents two events in May: the hallmark “First Friday” education with a Cinco de Mayo celebration of Mexican design and architecture hosted by Hooker Furnishings on May 3, and the Spring Sample Sale, May 15 – 17. 

“With two events, one networking and educational and the other for mid-market sourcing, there’s no better way to bring the design community together this May,” said Cain Brodie, LVDC general manager. “The two events at LVDC this May will offer full opportunities for the local design community to learn, network, celebrate design and complete any shopping to restock products through July.”

LVDC First Friday Celebrates Mexican Architecture and Design 

Attendees of the May First Friday session will celebrate Cinco de Mayo and learn about the brilliance and creativity of Mexico's most renowned architects, designers, artists and furniture makers. The session will explore the history and processes of visionaries like Luis Barragan and Jose Clemente Orozco, and the contributions these talents have made to Mexico’s rich culture and the world of architecture and design. Following the discussion, session participants are invited to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a taco bar and desserts.

The May “First Friday” session will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 3 in the Hooker Furnishings showroom, A236. Spring Sample Sale Provides Buyers with Mid-Market Sourcing Opportunities

Las Vegas Market's upcoming Spring Sample Sale is set to connect retailers and designers with nearly 50 participating home, gift and lifestyle showrooms, Wednesday, May 15, through Friday, May 17, 2024. The Spring Sample offers discounts on select home furnishings and gift floor samples, providing an unparalleled opportunity for buyers to stock up on trending products and save money between markets.

Spring Sample Sale will showcase 20+ permanent showrooms across buildings A, B and C. Las Vegas Design Center (LVDC) will offer an additional 30+ permanent showroom resources located in Building A, Floors 1 & 2. LVDC is open daily, Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
