Symphony Sleep® Introduces Hi-Low Lift Kit to Support Aging in Place

Innovative Sleep Technologies’ brand Symphony Sleep® has launched a hi-low lift kit designed to support the increasing number of older Americans who choose to remain in their own homes rather than moving into assisted living facilities.

The new product, the Symphony Sleep® ESHILO lift kit, offers functionality to lower, raise, and tilt beds, facilitating in-home care. It provides a practical solution for those needing assistance with daily activities, particularly getting in and out of bed, and is also beneficial for caregivers.

Statistical data underlines the growing demand for products like the hi-low lift kit. The U.S. has seen a 33% increase in the population aged 60 and older from 2010 to 2020. The Centers for Disease Control projects that the demographic aged 85 and older will more than double from 6.7 million in 2020 to 14.4 million in 2040. A University of Michigan study indicates that approximately 88% of adults aged 50 to 80 prioritize staying in their homes for as long as possible. Further, the Journal of Gerontology reports a decrease in older adults living in nursing homes and an increase in those living in traditional housing over the last two decades.

The ESHILO kit is compatible with various Symphony Sleep adjustable base models and features easy installation. It includes a wired, ergonomic remote that adjusts bed height up to 31.5 inches and lowers to 10 inches from the floor. For caregiving ease and medical requirements, the kit provides up to a 12.5-degree tilt angle, including Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg positions.
