Ashley Supports Creativity at Davie County Schools' Arts Smart Festival

Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC (Ashley) partnered with Davie County Schools for their annual Arts Smart Festival held on Saturday, May 11, at Davie High School. This partnership, which includes a donation for the event, continues Ashley's decade-long support of the festival.

The Arts Smart Festival, featuring students from the Davie County Schools Arts and Education departments, showcases talents in visual arts, singing, dancing, music, and theater. The event includes visual art galleries, make-and-take stations, and performances by various student groups.

Ashley’s contributions have supported initiatives across theater, dance, band, and art, benefiting thousands of students in the Davie County School District. Dana Roberts, South Davie Middle School Art Teacher, commented on the impact, stating, “With the grant from Ashley, we were able to purchase art materials for our South Davie artists to explore drawing foundation and improve their drawing skills that are critical for High School Visual Arts. We appreciate our partnership with Ashley, and our art experiences are much stronger thanks to the support.”

Additionally, Ashley awarded three scholarships to students for their artistic work throughout the year and at the event. This year's scholarship recipients are Sophia Aguayo-Bermudez (Visual Arts), Caroline Landy (Music), and Lizzie Rappaport (Band).
