Michael Graves Design has partnered with Pottery Barn to introduce a new accessible home
collection, available from August 1 on potterybarn.com and in select stores. The collection provides practical
solutions for various needs, including aging in place and living with disabilities, without sacrificing aesthetics.
Michael Graves Design is known for its "Design for All" philosophy, a philosophy that champions accessibility without compromising elegance. Through this collection continues that mission, featuring enhancements prioritizing safety and
functionality while maintaining refined beauty and quality.
The Michael Graves Design for Pottery Barn collection features touchpoints for safer mobility, as well as enhanced seating options, ensuring homes are both beautiful and safe. Essential for independent living, this collection provides peace of mind and comfort. The collection offers distinct styles allowing individuals to express their personal taste without compromise. A standout feature is the adjustable lounge seating, which can be customized by an inch and a half for ergonomic comfort and accessibility.
Michael Graves Design and Pottery Barn collaborated extensively, using ethnographic research and consumer preference
testing to develop this collection. Insights from these efforts led to accessible updates to popular Pottery Barn
collections and new designs like the Yardley and Bradford Armchairs.
