Koelnmesse Extends Contract with COO Oliver Frese

Koelnmesse GmbH announced the extension of Chief Operating Officer (COO) Oliver Frese's contract, initially set to expire at the end of 2024, by an additional five years until December 31, 2029. Frese has served as COO since 2020.

"Over the past few years, Oliver Frese has not only guided the Cologne event portfolio through the difficult phase of the Covid pandemic, but has also introduced a new operating model in the market-focused areas of Sales, Services, and Marketing Communications," said Gerald Böse, Chief Executive Officer at Koelnmesse. Böse added that Frese has worked with the International division to implement global portfolio responsibility in Trade Fair Management successfully. "I would like to thank Oliver Frese for his outstanding contributions, and I am convinced that Koelnmesse will continue to grow with him by our side."

Frese's background includes management positions at Deutsche Telekom and the energy group EnBW, as well as serving on the board of Deutsche Messe AG. He was appointed to the Management Board of Koelnmesse GmbH in 2020.
