STORIS Adds Financing To Its NextGen Mobile POS

STORIS recently announced the introduction of financing to its STORIS NextGen Mobile POS, which enables sales associates to help their customers select a desired financing plan based on a term length and interest rate that meets their needs. Financing in STORIS NextGen Mobile POS is designed to facilitate this essential source of revenue.

The design of its financing capabilities was based on STORIS' first-party research, which found a benefit to retailers whose sales associates are better able to advise customers about finance plans based on specific product selections.

A complementary feature to launch soon will be STORIS NextGen’s Signature Capture. It will record digital signatures on mobile devices. Once financing is authorized, the customer will be presented with the lender’s required Terms and Conditions to sign in a seamless experience.

The platform's design was based on STORIS’ first-party research, which found a benefit to retailers whose sales associates are better able to advise customers about finance plans based on specific product selections.  

"Many customers choose to finance their purchase before, instead of during checkout,” observed Mark Braun, STORIS NextGen Product Manager. “That’s because credit determines the consumer's total buying power. This realization was integral to designing financing within our STORIS NextGen Mobile POS UI/UX workflow." 

A recent PYMNTS* report found that "58% of all consumers who bought durable goods within the past year used financing or leasing programs for at least one purchase.” Rising credit utilization is seen among millennials and Generation Z shoppers. The STORIS NextGen Mobile POS is designed to facilitate this essential source of revenue.

STORIS teamed up with Synchrony, its primary finance lender, for this rollout. Retailers leveraging its widely used Synchrony HOME™ credit card program can use these plans as payment in STORIS NextGen. Additionally, STORIS now uses the Synchrony Home Network's API web services across its STORIS ERP, STORIS APIs, and eSTORIS eCommerce platform.
