Coaster Fine Furniture Releases 2025 Catalogs with New Look and Elevated Lifestyle Presentation

Furniture World News Desk on 9/17/2024

North American furniture distributor Coaster Fine Furniture has begun shipping its 2025 product catalogs to retailers and designers across the country with a new look and elevated lifestyle presentation that reflects the company’s amped up merchandising approach in both value and design.

For more than 30 years, retailers have looked to the annual launch of the company’s expansive catalog series to plan and order new products for their stores—pouring through thousands of pages spread across four separate installments, one for each product category that the brand offered. The key difference this season: The four-part traditional catalog’s largely utilitarian layout and presentation have been replaced by a pair of inspiring look books focused on exclusive designs and top sellers.

Available in print, and as viewable digital versions at https://www.coasterfurniture.com/catalogs, the publications are divided into two books, Bedroom and Dining Room; and Living Room, Office and Accents, both with greater emphasis on lifestyle imagery.

“Far from the basic, templated approach we have taken in producing the catalogs in the past, the look books are closer to shelter magazine layouts and Pinterest mood boards with product pages tied together in spreads,” said Marlene (Vidal) Donlucas, director of marketing. “There’s a theme and aesthetic to every page and we’ve organized the presentation by design inspirations, with an emphasis on photorealistic imagery, some of which were produced through our partnership with All3D. Our goal is to excite and inspire retailers and designers, and to underscore our new bought product merchandising approach.”

Led by Crystal Nguyen, vice president of merchandise and strategic product planning at Coaster, the company’s bought product approach means that that majority of new products highlighted in the look books can be ordered and immediately shipped. The strategy takes advantage of one of Coaster’s key differentiators, which is the amount of research time the company invests in the development of exclusive products to help retailers stand out in their marketplaces with designs that are fresh, purposeful, and exclusive to the company.

“Success in today’s marketplace is all about speed to market, so we’ve made the catalogs easier to view and work with, with engaging, feature-focused romance copy to complement the improved imagery,” Donlucas said. “While all of the nuts-and-bolts information that retailers and designers require is readily at hand, there is much less overlap and redundancy between products and categories to keep the presentation streamlined and engaging. We’ve also woven the categories together in many of the layouts for design inspiration and to emphasize the breadth of all that we offer as part of our growing whole home position.”

More than 35,000 printed copies of the 2025 catalogs have been mailed to Coaster Fine Furniture customers across the country. Copies will also be available by request in the Coaster Fine Furniture showroom, 111 East Commerce Avenue, during the High Point Market.
