October Market marked the Grand Debut of Klaussner Home Furnishings’ new Carolina Preserves Collection. Geoff Beaston, Klaussner’s Senior Vice President of Case Goods and staff collaborated with renowned North Carolina artist William Mangum to create the new line.

“When you look at his paintings, you see that he celebrates life through his art,” said Beaston. “He brings this same beautiful color palette and passion for North Carolina’s heritage and landscape to Carolina Preserves’ furniture designs.”

While portions of Carolina Preserves were available for limited viewing at pre-market, October Market will be the first time all dealers will have the opportunity to see the entire line at the Klaussner on Hamilton showroom. The collection includes two distinct styles, one featuring the delicate hues and patterns from Mangum’s coastal paintings and the other, the refined colors and textures from his Blue Ridge Mountain subjects.

“I am very excited about the launch of Carolina Preserves,” said Klaussner President Bill Wittenberg. “It’s a collection that has a great story for dealers to share with retail customers and it will bring tremendous excitement to their showrooms.”

It was Mangum’s talent for conveying North Carolina’s story that led to the partnership with Klaussner.

Over his 35-year career he has created more than 3,000 original paintings, seven books, two films and countless devotees and has received recognition at some of the world’s most prestigious art shows. “Partnering with Klaussner was a natural,” said Mangum. “I feel confident that buyers will be thrilled when they see this colorful collection and its attention to detail.”

Now celebrating its 50th Anniversary, Klaussner Furniture is headquartered in Asheboro, N.C., and has grown to become one of the largest furniture companies in America with nearly 2,000 people in its employ and showrooms in High Point, N.C. and Las Vegas, Nev. “What a way to end our Klaussner 50th Anniversary celebration,” said Wittenberg. “This has been a wonderful collaboration. I can’t wait to share the results at October Market.”
