Furniture of America Expands to Third Showroom in High Point

Furniture of America reported that it is expanding its presence in High Point for the second
time this year. Preparations are underway for the opening of a new 15,000-square-foot showroom at 142 South Main
Street, near the intersection of Commerce and Main.
Market attendees will not find the typical lineup in this location. As part of a new venture called FOA Private, this
showroom will feature the company’s extensive collection of traditional-styled furniture. “This
additional space will allow us to maximize our current spaces in the IHFC Commerce building to display our new
products across all categories. During the summer market, we had the largest introduction in company history that
was very well received. “Said Jodi Brookshire, corporate VP sales and marketing. “We need as much room
in the IHFC to show our majors and East Coast dealers. We are no longer a promotional import company and are working
hard to convey that with our exclusive designs and exceptional quality. “
“As a whole home resource offering medium to medium-high products at competitive price points, we still offer
some promotional items for our dealers, but it is only a small percentage of our line. What we did not do is
sacrifice quality. In fact, our dealers can expect the same level of quality in materials and workmanship at all our
price levels.” Brookshire added.
FOA Private will be a source for dealers to not just view the traditional designs in bedroom, dining, living room and
upholstery. With expanded manufacturing capabilities this year, FOA will have dedicated staff in the showroom to
work with dealers on OEM, specialty products and direct container orders. This will bring the total space for
FOA in High Point to approximately 55,000 square feet.
In total, Furniture of America will show over 60 new bedroom sets, 30 new dining sets and over 24 upholstery groups,
as well as new youth beds and accent furniture. All will be on display during the High Point market Oct.
26-30th in the IHFC Commerce Building, 7th floor and 142 S. Main Street.
