IKEA Announces New Store in Rockwall, Texas

Furniture World News Desk on 11/12/2024

IKEA U.S. has announced plans to open a new store in Rockwall, Texas, in December 2025. The store will be the third IKEA location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, situated with convenient access to major highways connecting Dallas to Texarkana and Little Rock.

“Our expansion goal is simple. We will be where people are, whenever and however they want to experience IKEA,” said Javier Quiñones, CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer, IKEA U.S. “We have been testing different store formats to increase customer convenience, make home delivery more cost-efficient, and reach our customers where they live, work, and socialize. IKEA Rockwall represents a key milestone in this ongoing journey.”

IKEA Rockwall will offer a mix of in-store and digital shopping options. Customers will have access to a range of items designed for affordability, sustainability, and organization. Larger furniture pieces, such as sofas and beds, can be ordered for delivery or in-store pickup. The store will also feature IKEA Food’s new Swedish Deli concept, a Swedish café for dining onsite, and a Swedish Bistro offering quick takeaway options with outdoor seating.

The store’s design will showcase multiple fully furnished room settings tailored to reflect the everyday needs of the local community. Sustainable design elements include solar power, LEED-certified construction, electric vehicle chargers, onsite recycling, and native plants to reduce water consumption.

“We are strongly committed to the communities in which we operate,” said Rob Parsons, Area Market Manager, IKEA U.S. “IKEA Rockwall provides an even more seamless omnichannel shopping experience throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, and we look forward to welcoming residents and surrounding neighbors to this new IKEA experience.”

This expansion aligns with IKEA’s broader efforts to increase accessibility and convenience through a variety of customer meeting points. As the company continues to grow its U.S. presence, it aims to improve customer experiences while enhancing supply chain and fulfillment capabilities.
