Fusion Designs to Introduce Solid Wood Bar Stool Program at Las Vegas Winter Market

Fusion Designs, known for its domestically produced solid wood case goods, is launching a new bar stool program at the Las Vegas Winter Market. The collection includes reimagined versions of 16 top-selling designs and four new bar chairs, offering both swivel and stationary options with customizable finishes, wood types, and performance fabrics.

“In creating this new program, it was very important that it fit within our existing pricing structure, and that we remain competitively priced,” said Marcus Bontrager, president of Fusion Designs. “We set out to redefine the category with solid wood designs made in America that are a far cry from the retro, stainless-steel imports that have long dominated the category and typically look more at home in commercial settings. We believe we have created something entirely new and unique in the marketplace.”

The program was developed in response to customer requests for high-quality solid wood bar stools. According to Allen Bontrager, chief operating officer and designer of the collection, creating the new base design required proprietary manufacturing equipment and innovative joinery techniques.

“During last year’s winter market, we received multiple requests from customers for high-quality solid wood bar stools,” said Allen Bontrager. “We took note of the demand and went to work. Inspired by a stainless-steel base design, perfecting our new concept required developing proprietary manufacturing equipment and creating entirely new joinery because with steel, you simply weld pieces together. Woodworking is an entirely different animal.”

The resulting design combines traditional woodworking techniques with a modern aesthetic, resulting in a solid wood base that offers smooth swiveling functionality and structural durability.

The collection debuts four new designs—Arya, Quinn, Enzo, and Luca—featuring ergonomic upholstered seating and soft contemporary styling. These new designs align with Fusion Designs’ broader solid wood portfolio and its latest dining collections, also debuting at Market. The company additionally redesigned 16 of its best-selling bar chairs to create a cohesive program of 20 models, with plans to expand the collection in the future.

Suggested retail prices for the bar stools range from $410 to $770 for fully upholstered options.
