Suedwolle Group Collaborates with Lenzing and Culp to Launch New Home Textile Fabrics

Furniture World News Desk on 1/17/2025

Suedwolle Group has partnered with LENZING AG and Culp Home Fashions to introduce a new line of home textile fabrics that combine wool and TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers. Designed to enhance sleep comfort and offer fresh design perspectives, the collaboration integrates modern textile technology with innovative aesthetics.

Design Approach

The new fabric collection merges modern minimalism with vintage-inspired patchwork. Featuring angular shapes and a neutral color palette that balances warm and cool tones, the designs provide a fresh alternative to the standard greys and blues commonly found in the mattress market.

Performance Benefits

The wool and TENCEL™ Lyocell blend offers a range of practical benefits:

  • Temperature Regulation: Wool helps maintain a comfortable sleeping environment by preventing overheating.
  • Moisture Control: Wool’s moisture-wicking and breathable properties, combined with TENCEL™ Lyocell’s softness and moisture management, contribute to a balanced and dry microclimate.
  • Hygiene Support: TENCEL™ Lyocell reduces conditions that encourage odor-causing bacteria, promoting a more hygienic sleep experience.

Textile Technology

Suedwolle Group’s Oakport Nm 36/1 yarn, comprising 50% Merino wool (19.3µ TEC) and 50% TENCEL™ Lyocell (3.3 dtex fibers), enhances the fabric’s softness, durability, and usability for home textile applications. The collaboration has also identified opportunities for further innovation, such as introducing a core color palette and premium options for broader design applications.

Tommy Bruno, president of Culp Home Fashions, commented, “Collaborating with industry-leading fiber and yarn suppliers on this project has helped create an innovative and foundational fabric that will contribute to future product development.”

Suedwolle Group remains committed to exploring new possibilities in textile design and fiber technology to address evolving customer needs.
