Retailers in BIA’s Digital Consulting Program Seeing 300% Jump in Page Views

Furniture World News Desk on 1/27/2025

Bedding Industries of America (BIA), a leading mattress manufacturer, is reporting strong results from its digital consulting program introduced at the Summer Las Vegas Furniture Market. More than 30 participating retailers have seen an average 300% increase in page views, highlighting the program’s impact on improving their digital presence.

Led by Joe Mulcahy, an industry veteran, the program provides BIA retail partners with tailored guidance and resources to optimize their online visibility. A key component of the initiative is SEO consulting, designed to enhance local search engine performance and ensure stores are more visible to consumers.

“More often than not, we encounter retailers struggling in the online marketplace, unsure how to address the challenges,” said Mulcahy. “We conduct individualized reports and meet with them to identify ways to improve their websites, and we’ve been very pleased with the success rate so far.”

Personalized Consultations Address Key Website Challenges

Initial consultations, lasting about an hour, focus on identifying areas for improvement, such as descriptive shortcomings, duplicated text, overused keywords, and the use of corporate jargon that may confuse consumers.

Greg Jaron, president of Jaron Furniture Outlet in Bordentown, N.J., shared how the program has enhanced their online consumer experience.
“As a retailer, our website is the first ‘store’ our consumers visit, and it’s crucial for it to be user-friendly,” said Jaron. “Joe’s insights have helped us better understand consumer behavior digitally, and we’ve seen improvements since starting the program.”

Andrew and Lacee Warneke, owners of Bargain Bedding in Sioux City, Iowa, also praised the collaborative nature of the program.
“Joe’s approach fosters a sense of partnership with frequent suggestions and ideas, proving he is fully invested in our success,” said the Warnekes. “We’ve been very pleased with the invaluable advice and support from Joe and the BIA team.”

Looking Ahead: Targeting New Consumer Demographics

For 2025, the program will expand to help retailers attract younger consumers, including Gen Z, as they enter the home-buying market.
“Many retailers are struggling to connect with aging Gen Zs who are now becoming home buyers,” said Mulcahy. “My focus this year is to help these dealers better understand this demographic and reach this emerging market.”

Phil Carlitz, COO of BIA, emphasized the program’s importance in supporting retailers.
“The program has been very successful for our dealers, and we look forward to enhancing it in the coming year,” said Carlitz. “Joe and his team are delivering real value, boosting sales for retailers and strengthening our dealer relationships.”
