The RW Collective Acquires Assets of Bauhaus

The RW Collective, based in Rockford, Alabama, has acquired the assets of Bauhaus Furniture Group, a move aimed at expanding domestic production and enhancing vertical integration. The acquisition enables The RW Collective to increase U.S. manufacturing, reduce lead times, and broaden its customization capabilities.

For years, The RW Collective has sought opportunities to expand its domestic production to complement its case goods factory and Indonesian operations. Having previously partnered with Bauhaus in retail and wholesale, the acquisition allows the company to introduce additional domestically produced categories, such as upholstered beds and dining chairs, with greater efficiency.

“This is an exciting milestone for The RW Collective,” said CEO Michael Carey. “Bringing manufacturing back to the U.S. has been a long-term goal, and Bauhaus presented the perfect opportunity. Preserving Jobs and Expanding Operations

Following the acquisition, Bauhaus employees who had been informed of job losses were rehired under The RW Collective by the next business day. The company is now expanding and hiring, reinforcing its commitment to U.S. manufacturing.

“This acquisition strengthens our position in the industry while reinforcing our commitment to domestic manufacturing,” said COO Rebekah Osborn. “It allows us to build on an already strong foundation and provide a better, faster, and more flexible supply chain for our partners.”

The RW Collective plans to continue producing the Bauhaus furniture line while maintaining relationships with existing customers and vendors. The company will showcase its latest collection at the Spring High Point Market, with a showroom at 156 S. Main St., High Point, NC.
