ANDMORE has officially dedicated the Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas to founding CEO and Chairman Bob Maricich
in recognition of his contributions to the company and the Las Vegas community. In conjunction with the dedication,
the City of Las Vegas has proclaimed January 25, 2025, as “Robert (Bob) J. Maricich Day.”
“Bob Maricich is a remarkable leader with a tremendous community impact,” said Jon Pertchik, ANDMORE CEO.
“When he stepped down from his role as CEO of ANDMORE last spring, the decision was quickly made that we
needed a permanent way to recognize his legacy. The Expo represents the vision and passion that he has for our
industry and the Downtown Las Vegas community.”
A private ceremony took place prior to the Winter 2025 Las Vegas Market to honor Maricich. Attendees included Nevada
Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony and local leaders involved in the Expo's development, such as Councilwoman
Victoria Seaman, former Mayors Carolyn and Oscar Goodman, former Councilman Cedric Crear, and former Deputy Director
of Economic and Urban Development Bill Arent.
Councilwoman Seaman delivered the official proclamation on behalf of Mayor Shelley Berkley and the Las Vegas City
Council. The event also included the unveiling of a plaque recognizing Maricich’s role in developing the Expo.
It notes his founding of International Market Centers (IMC) in 2011 and his collaboration with local officials to
construct the Expo in 2020, a facility designed to support the growing tradeshow needs of the city and industry.
The plaque reads:
In grateful recognition.
In 2011, with his trademark salesmanship, optimism and pioneer spirit, Bob secured funding and founded International
Market Centers (IMC) bringing together competitive market centers in Las Vegas and High Point to form the
world’s largest operator of premier permanent showroom and tradeshow space for the wholesale furnishings, home
décor, and gift industries. In 2020, IMC constructed this state-of-the-art Expo at World Market Center Las
Vegas, to accommodate the growing tradeshow component of its markets and address the need for exhibit and meeting
space in downtown Las Vegas. Bob worked closely with longtime business associate and friend, then Mayor Carolyn
Goodman, Councilman Cedric Crear, City Manager Scott Adams and Director, Economic and Urban Development Bill Arent
to secure financing and approval for the project creating jobs for the fifth ward and driving economic development
in downtown Las Vegas.
We honor and celebrate Bob Maricich for his many contributions to the City of Las Vegas, and to the home furnishings
and gift industries, and we celebrate his unwavering commitment to building an exceptional company of enduring
value.
Onward and Upward
The 315,000-square-foot Expo facility includes two halls capable of accommodating up to 1,000 trade show booths, a
large lobby and registration area, shuttle depot, parking garage, and permanent food service. It connects to
Building C of World Market Center and the central courtyard. Since its 2021 opening, the Expo has hosted a variety
of events, including trade shows, community gatherings, and cultural events.
ANDMORE credits Maricich’s leadership and collaboration with Blackstone and city officials for helping open the
facility during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Expo is projected to generate substantial economic impact for Las Vegas,
including increased visitor spending and job creation.
The venue continues to serve as a central hub for ANDMORE events. It will host the Las Vegas Market temporary
exhibits from July 27–30, 2025, and Las Vegas Apparel from August 17–20, 2025. The facility also
supports a range of events from local, regional, and national organizations throughout the year.
