HPxD Sets Summer 2025 Dates for Vacation Rental Design Summit

High Point by Design (HPxD) has announced that the third annual Vacation Rental Design (VRD) Summit will take place June 23–27, 2025, in High Point, North Carolina. Branded “Summer Escape,” the 2025 event will shift away from its previous alignment with Spring Market, offering a new seasonal format and updated schedule.

The Summit, organized by HPxD, brings together interior designers, real estate professionals, hospitality operators, and home furnishings brands focused on the short-term rental (STR) sector. The 2025 edition will feature educational sessions, showroom activations, and networking opportunities throughout the week. Programming will begin with a welcome reception on Monday evening, June 23, and conclude with a closing gathering on Thursday night. Participating showrooms will remain open through Friday.

“After two years of pairing the Summit with Market, our team was ready to try something fresh and unexpected for our growing vacation rental design community—many of whom have never experienced High Point outside of April or October,” said Jane Dagmi, managing director of HPxD. “June gives us room to play. Our partners can be more hands-on, and we’ll be activating showrooms in surprising and innovative ways.”

The event is being developed by Dagmi alongside cofounders Jessica Duce of JDuce Design and Vacation Rental Designers, and branding expert Ericka Saurit of Saurit Creative. Together, they aim to deliver content tailored to the STR segment while leveraging High Point’s design infrastructure.

“As VRD/STR designers, we craft spaces that foster connection, comfort, and a true sense of place,” said Saurit. “This summer, we’re bringing that philosophy to the city itself—inviting attendees to slow down, immerse themselves in High Point’s design culture, and engage in experiences that inspire how they shape vacation rental properties.”

Duce, whose work focuses on interior design for STR properties, helped launch the first VRD Summit in 2023. She continues to lead programming related to business development and design practices for professionals in the category.

"The growth we have seen exploding in the STR design world since our first summit is so exciting,” said Duce. “Expanding the education and resources for designers and brands in this rapid growth category of design is helping all involved stretch their design muscles and opportunities beyond expectations. This is what we’ll deep dive at VRD this summer through unique experiences, community and business development with High Point as our playground."

Tickets for the 2025 VRD Summit go on sale April 7, with early bird pricing of $899 available through May 5. The event is open to interior designers, developers, real estate and hospitality professionals, and brand representatives working in or entering the short-term rental space.
