Spring Air Extends Malaysian License with Sumber Dinamik Through 2050

Spring Air International has renewed its licensing agreement with Malaysia-based Sumber Dinamik SDN BHD for an additional 25 years, extending the partnership through 2050. The long-term deal is part of Spring Air’s broader strategy to establish stable, long-range international partnerships.

“Sumber Dinamik has been a strong partner for us and is a leader with far-reaching plans for Southeast Asia,” said Nick Bates, president and CEO of Spring Air International. “We are thrilled to extend our already successful relationship with a long-term commitment that benefits both companies.”

Sumber Dinamik, a division of NHL Manufacturing, specializes in polyurethane foam and OEM mattress production and has been in business for over three decades. It began its partnership with Spring Air three years ago, and currently supplies the brand to 130 retail locations throughout Malaysia.

“Spring Air’s name recognition and reputation made it an attractive choice,” said Mr. Chia Kim Meng, Director of Sumber Dinamik. “Our extended agreement through the year 2050 gives our retail customers confidence in the brand’s continued strength and reliability, while enabling us to do more long-term planning and marketing befitting a top-tier brand, and to expand the Spring Air product offering in the Malaysian domestic market.”

Under the agreement, Sumber Dinamik currently produces Spring Air’s Back Supporter and Four Seasons collections, and has recently added the luxury Chattam & Wells line to its offerings.

Bates noted that the company’s shift toward longer-term licensing arrangements is aimed at reinforcing its global brand presence and supporting its partners’ ability to plan, invest, and grow with confidence.

“We believe that long-term deals internationally are more beneficial for all parties. The licensee can more strategically plan and invest in our brand, knowing they have a longer runway to reap the rewards,” Bates said. “Local dealers and their customers also benefit because they can rely on a strong local partner for many years for their own planning and investment purposes.”

The agreement with Sumber Dinamik follows similar long-term licensing arrangements Spring Air has made in Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates.
