Universal Furniture Debuts Oasis Collection in Collaboration with Coastal Living at Spring High Point Market

Furniture World News Desk on 4/23/2025

Universal Furniture has unveiled Oasis, its latest indoor collection created in collaboration with Coastal Living. The new collection—marking the fourth indoor release in the partnership that began in 2018—will be on display at Universal’s showroom at 101 S. Hamilton during the Spring 2025 High Point Market.

“Part of our collaboration’s success is that the designs emanate relaxation, and they work in any part of the country, coastal or not,” said Sean O’Connor, President of Universal Furniture.

The Oasis collection includes over 87 pieces, offering a wide range of furniture for the bedroom, dining room, and accent categories. Drawing inspiration from natural elements and coastal landscapes, the collection incorporates materials such as cane, louvers, twisted abaca, and textured grasscloth. Sculptural and coastal-inspired forms are balanced by two signature wood finishes:

  • Dockside – a warm, natural oak
  • Shoreline – a softly textured, sand-blasted pine

Hardware complements these finishes with subtle variations, including aged pewter knobs and bar pulls. Accent materials such as white quartz, concrete, and cast aluminum further enhance the organic aesthetic.

Key Highlights from the Oasis Collection

Bedroom:

  • Oasis Bed features a three-panel cross-hatch cane headboard and footboard
  • Dockside Bed includes rectangular oak panels for a structured look
  • Shoreline Bed showcases a wide louvered headboard, with optional storage footboard
  • Drift Bed provides a softer design with an upholstered headboard/footboard and double flange welt

Dining:

  • Dockside Table is offered in multiple styles: rectangular with offset X-base, 54" round pedestal, and oval with textured concrete top
  • Coral Table includes round and rectangular glass top options with a coral-inspired base in white or antique nickel
  • Seating includes Danish cord-back chairs, a striped slipcovered bench, and a three-legged barrel-back armchair

Accent Pieces:

  • Cliffside Tables evoke root-ball shapes in white glass-reinforced concrete
  • Coral Cocktail Table features a cast aluminum base with a white quartz top
  • Dockside Console pairs a textured concrete top with a white oak veneer base and antique pewter stretcher
  • Shoreline Hall Chest uses sandblasted pine and shell-shaped cast aluminum hardware

“Oasis communicates a sense of relaxed refinement,” said O’Connor. “Every detail in this collection, from the finishes to the forms, is designed to bring a quiet sense of calm and beauty to the home.”

The Oasis collection is on view at Universal Furniture’s High Point showroom, 101 S. Hamilton, throughout the April Market.
