The Midwest Furniture Club has announced the dates and details for the 18th Annual Midwest Furniture Show, to be held September 23–25, 2025, at the White Eagle Convention Center in Niles, Illinois. The event will begin with a dealer-exclusive “Sneak Peek” on Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., followed by full show days on Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The regional show is designed to bring product introductions, vendor meetings, and buying opportunities directly to retailers and designers from the Chicagoland area and across the Upper Midwest. The show includes complimentary amenities for attendees, including a morning coffee bar, lunch service, and a social hour on Wednesday evening.
“We are happy to announce that the Midwest Furniture Show continues,” said Allan Landau, show coordinator. “We have made some changes—taking away some things that are no longer important and adding vendors who offer updated choices for our dealers.”
The Midwest Furniture Show will include longstanding vendors such as Ashley Furniture, Magic Sleep, CasaMode, and MDA Rugs, and will introduce newer participants like Flair Upholstery and Dreamscape Sleep. The show is also seeing participation from marketing firms, tech providers, and online service companies focused on helping independent retailers adapt to industry shifts.
“We have a lot of folks—from our parent organization at IHFRA to new vendors to new customers—excited to have a place to come and really examine their business and consult with their business partners to navigate retail in an era of social media, online selling, and inflation,” said Brent Jones, President of the Midwest Furniture Club. “The Midwest Furniture Show has become that place.”
Jones, who has exhibited at the show for more than a decade, added: “We are able to see our base, offer them specials, as well as see new customers who have not yet purchased our product.”
Geoff Weed, one of the original founders of the show, emphasized its regional focus: “The original concept for this show was simple. Ninety-five percent of the accounts in our territories don’t go to market. So, if we can bring some of market to them, we’d all be better for it. Over the years, these customers have benefitted from market specials, interaction with brand managers, and the chance to see new lines they are not currently buying.”
“This is a working show. Exhibitors write business and retailers get to see a number of vendors over two days. They can eat breakfast at home and be back home for dinner,” said Landau. “But we hope they stay all day.”
Jones added, “It’s a labor of love, with many IHFRA reps contributing to the Midwest furniture community. Many members of our organization volunteer each year, helping with check-in or planning or cleanup. Our group is at heart a service organization for the Upper Midwest furniture community.”
