Love Furniture Profits Tip: Why Testimonials Are So Important

Today’s customer is very skeptical. A really good buying experience is getting harder and harder to find. They are swayed more and more by on-line reviews. Especially Millennials.

It’s not enough any more to say how long you’ve been in business. That you're family owned. That you offer great service. That you have the best products and prices. It’s possible for these things to help your cause, but not on their own to swing a consumer’s choice in your direction. I'm not saying don’t talk about those things. Just be sure you also have testimonials.

Today’s buyer wants to know, “What have you done for me lately?” The consumer must believe you can deliver the results they want and you promise. It doesn’t matter much whether you got into business last week or 100 years ago. Proving results becomes infinitely more important than proving anything else. 10 great testimonials beats 100 years of history hands-down. How many testimonials do you need? As many as you can get.

One exception to what I've said here, is your Anniversary Sale. Here you do want to talk about your history, how you grew, how your business evolved, the people involved and so on. This still would be in addition to testimonials, however.

NOTE: everything I've said here is mute if all your ads contain are pictures, prices and extended free financing. Unfortunately, this is the case with most furniture and mattress advertising I see today.
These little weekly articles can only scratch the surface. To find out more, get your free copy ($97, but free to any furniture or mattress store) of my breakthrough Special Report, “5 Long Lost Secrets of Scientific Furniture and Mattress Advertising that work like magic in today’s economy for any furniture or mattress store to get you more customers, more sales, more profits.” Go right now to www.lovefurnitureprofits.com.
