International Market Centers And ITMA Announce Launch Of International Pavilions At June Showtime

International Market Centers and the International Textile Market Association (ITMA) announced the launch of a new International Pavilions at the upcoming semi-annual Showtime Fabric Market, June 3-6, 2012 in High Point, NC.

21 companies from Turkey, Taiwan, and China will make their US show debut through a customized Pavilion in the Suites at Market Square, which is owned and operated by International Market Centers. These new companies will enhance the international offering at Showtime by joining more than 165 exhibitors that already participate, including 80 permanent showrooms and 85 temporary exhibitors.

“We are ecstatic with what has happened with the International Pavilions in such a short period of time,” said Bob Patton, three-time president of ITMA and president of the ITMA board of directors. “We, as an association, don’t have the resources to be as aggressive as IMC who has been an invaluable partner to us. This is the best thing that has happened to Showtime in years.”

The International Pavilions will be separated into three sections showcasing sources from each of the three countries.

TURKISH NATIONAL PAVILION
The group of Turkish companies has been organized by UIB (ULUDAG IHRACATCI BIRLIKLERI) whose mission is to increase exports and ensure that the development of foreign trade is in accordance with the interests of the country. UIB has assembled a group of 11 industry-leading companies from Turkey, a country well known for its trend-setting designs in home textiles. Participating companies include:

AKARCA
Founded in 1990 in Bursa, AKARCA specializes in the production of decorative curtains, fantasia tulle curtains and table cloths which are the highest quality. AKARCA, which exports 60 % of products worldwide, has got 3 million square meters production per a year.

BURKAY
The company utilizes the latest technology and the most modern machines to achieve a high capacity of production and all kinds of equipment to make woven, embroidered and jaquard fabrics. With 30 years of experience, Burkay Tekstil is proud of being one of the biggest 5 home textile companies in Turkey today.

DERSIYON
Dersiyon Tekstil, which was founded in 1997, is a manufacturer of fabrics for home decoration and contract business. The company sells its products to manufacturers of ready mades, retail fabric stores, distributors, wholesalers and hotels all over the world under our brand names Stella and Tendenza. Our factory and headquarter are located in Bursa and we have branches in Istanbul, Bulgaria and in Ukraine. VANELLI

GULESER
Guleseer Tekstil was founded in 1985 in Ankara and now is located in Bursa with the latest technological jacquared looms. It has high capacity production and exports to more than 70 countries. There are two brand names owned by the company: “Guleser” is the worldwide brand name and “Done” is for the domestic market.

KACAR TEXTILE
Kacar Textile is one of the oldest jacquard upholstery & drapery fabrics manufacturers in Turkey. Founded in 1945, Kacar Textile has grown in decades with its dedication towards customer satisfaction and its use of contemporary technology. The modern facilities of the firm and headquarters are located in Bursa Industrial Region over a 18,000 sqm. closed factory area. Today, Kacar Textile’s monthly production capacity has reached to 300.000 meters, of which, 70% are exported to over 50 countries worldwide.


MORAL
Founded in 1985, Moral Textile is one of the leading curtain fabric producers in Turkey, specializing in the production of sheer and jacquard fabrics for curtains. The company exports 90% of its products to more than 50 countries all over the world. It is a trendsetting company with its own dynamic design team and 50 years of experience in the home textile business.

POLYTEKS
POLYTEKS was founded in 1986, in the Demirtaş Industrial Zone of Bursa. The factory, specialized in the manufacture of synthetic yarns, has never lost sight of top-quality targets in production. In addition to a steady rate of capacity increase, POLYTEKS has also increased its product diversity in accordance with the customer needs. POLYTEKS operates in its own modern production plant covering area of 28.000m² on a territory of 32.000m² with solid financial structure. The production capacity is over 2,000 tons per month including POY, raw white and spun dyed FDY, texturized, air covered and twisted yarns.

TANRIVERDI MENSUCAT
Tanriverdi Mensucat A.S. was incorporated in 1970 for the wholesale and retail sales of home textile products. TAIWAN PAVILION

The Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF)has been servicing the Taiwan Textile industry since 1975 through market promotion, product design, fashion information analysis, online information, technology training, collection and analysis of market information, certification of functional textiles, publications of textile information, issuance of Certificate of Origin, and other textile-related services. TTF has acquired ISO 9001 certification from the British Standards Institution (BSI) for quality control systems, thus substantiating its competence to provide the best services for Taiwan’s Textile industry. This organization has brought a group of six companies to show in the International Pavilion at Showtime.

CHINA PAVILION
The Yuhang Fabric Association has sponsored a group of four leading manufacturers to show as part of the inaugural launch of the International Pavilions at Showtime. International Market Centers has contracted with Al Bolton, long-time fabric industry executive, and his agents in Turkey, Taiwan and China to assist in the development and coordination of this effort. “We look forward to using this June 2012 show as the launching pad for attracting the best fabric producers in the world to showcase their original designs and constructions at Showtime and the International Pavilions in the future,” said Bolton.

Sevim Keskinci heads the selling efforts in Turkey and Western Europe. Sevim has 10 years’ experience working with Mood in Brussels coordinating with the Turkish Fabric Associations and producers. Carol Huang leads the selling efforts in Asia concentrating on Taiwan and China for this first effort. Carol comes from the industry supply side having managed international sales for Asian specialty yarn and fabric producers. Both Sevim and Carol grew up in the Textile Fabric Industries in their respective international regions and have the knowledge, marketing skills, and experience necessary to recruit the right companies ready and capable of developing business in the US market, said Bolton.

Since its launch in July 1990, the Showtime™ Fabric Market has called Market Square its home and is currently held each June and December. The Market Square Textile Tower features more than 60 fabric manufacturers on 9 floors within this landmark building in downtown High Point, the home furnishings capital of the world. When the Suites at Market Square section of the building opened in 2000, it was the natural location for the temporary exhibits for the biannual Showtime events, which have been held there ever since.

Showtime provides manufacturers, retailers, jobbers, converters, contract specifiers and designers a one stop sourcing venue to locate new fabrics, leather, and trimmings, and with the addition of these new companies buyers will find even more sources available to them June 3-6, 2012.
