Gat Creek recently announced that it is offering retailers a customization kiosk to support the sale of the company’s made-to-order solid wood products.
“Consumers want to shop for furniture in person and benefit from their store visit. By presenting our finish, fabric and hardware choices in a highly visible kiosk on the showroom floor, we are making it easy for consumers to touch and feel all of the available options,” says Gat Creek CEO Gat Caperton. “And it helps the retailer convert consumer interest into sales.”
The Gat Creek kiosk features a two-sided center section in white to provide a sharp contrast to magnet-mounted ash, cherry and maple stain and painted wood samples. The supporting, slim-line black framework displays photos, copy, and a Company brochure “pocket”complemented by 15 fabric and leather samples and a hardware display board on opposing surfaces. The kiosk rotates on a 360 degree swivel to make all of the content easy to access.
“We styled the kiosk to support the Gat Creek contemporary take on traditional furniture,” says David Petersen, VP – Marketing & Brand Development for Gat Creek. “In our view, there are a handful of furniture brands that truly help their retail partners look hip and current. With this sleek kiosk design, we think we have joined this club.”
A 24-page Company brochure is distributed through the kiosk. The Company’s story is told in photographs and copy from its germination as an antique shop in Baltimore to today’s 130-person manufacturing facility in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. Consumers are also introduced to the Gat Creek advantages as a solid- wood, American manufacturer including the use of traditional joinery, world-class equipment, holistic sustainability practices, and material and finish choices that contribute to a healthy home.
