Purple Launches Premium Comfort Mattresses

Furniture World News

Purple, a comfort technology company known for creating the “World’s First No Pressure™ Mattress,” recently announced the launch of its next generation of patented mattresses. The mattresses were first made available in November 2017 through select Mattress Firm locations across the country and will now be made available online in the US.

Purple’s new models will feature the company’s patented Hyper-Elastic Polymer technology, which is a stretchy, durable material that provides relief under pressure points, spinal support, and temperature-neutral sleep. Additionally, the new mattresses will tout carefully designed responsive support coils, which are tuned to work in concert with Purple's technology. Each coil sits in an individual fabric casing to reduce noise, maintain motion isolation, and provide full-body responsive support.

"Our focus is always on providing the most comfortable and supportive products on the market, with the highest quality and most accessible prices," said Sam Bernards, CEO at Purple. "This new line of mattresses features the most advanced comfort science available, with several different options to ensure everyone can find a mattress perfect for them."

All of Purple’s new models feature a top layer that sits on 7.5 inches of the individual responsive support coils. Highlights and details of Purple’s three all-new mattress designs:

  • Purple.2 - This mattress provides a two-inch Hyper-Elastic Polymer® top layer, which reduces pressure and redistributes weight for better support while sleeping. Prices for the Purple.2 run from $1,299 for a single to $1,899 for a king.

  • Purple.3 - With a three-inch top layer of the Hyper-Elastic Polymer® material, this mattress is the ideal balance of Purple’s innovative technologies, providing even deeper comfort and support for sleeping. Prices for the Purple.3 run from $1,899 for a single to $2,499 for a king.

  • Purple.4 - The most comfortable mattress on the market, the Purple.4 provides 13 inches of rich comfort, including four inches of Hyper-Elastic Polymer® technology. This top layer increases the benefits of Purple’s technology and is the company’s premium model. Prices for the Purple.4 run from $2,499 for a single to $3,099 for a king.

Since its launch in 2016, Purple has enjoyed tremendous popularity among consumers as it has staked a strong claim in the booming “bed-in-a-box” industry. The company doubled in size from 2016 to 2017, driven by its effective digital and social marketing techniques through viral brand videos. Purple has established itself as a leading comfort technology company and has been developing its proprietary technology for more than 20 years, with 102 patents or patents pending.
