DirectBuy has this week announced its new Director of Merchandising, Canada, Nick Lemieux. Mr. Lemieux will be managing Accessories, Electronics, Flooring, Kitchen & Bath and Sports & Leisure.
Prior to joining DirectBuy, Mr. Lemieux was Vice President of Merchandising at The Source, Canada’s leading mall-based consumer electronics retailer with 450 stores and 100 dealer outlets nationwide. Mr. Lemieux managed Small Office/Home Office and Home Entertainment at The Source, outpacing the competition by increasing sales, launching new products and expanding its private label, an initiative DirectBuy is poised to launch.
Mr. Lemieux’s career highlights include expanding the BOSE brand at The Source, accounting for the majority of BOSE’s growth in Canada, and launching Amazon Kindle Touch in Canada, sold exclusively at The Source for six months.
