Furniture.com Appoints George Lu as Chief Technology Officer

Furniture.com announced the appointment of George Lu as Chief Technology Officer and member of its Senior Management Team. Mr. Lu joins a strong technology team that's responsible for all of the technological strategy, development and operations for the home furnishing market's e-commerce leader. He joins Furniture.com from his previous position as Vice President of Information Systems and Chief Technology Officer at uBid, Inc. "We are ecstatic that George is joining Furniture.com. He joins Furniture.com from uBid, Inc. where he served as the Vice President of Information Systems and Chief Technology Officer. Before his position at uBid, Mr. Lu worked for Rand McNally & Company from March of 1994 until January of 1998. George Lu's most recent position for Rand McNally New Media and TDM was as the technical development manager. From March of 1993 until March of 1994 George Lu worked as a senior systems analyst for AECOM Technology Corp. Mr. Lu received his B.S. degree from Huazhong University, currently known as Central China Normal University, and his M.S. degree from the University of Memphis.
