Luxury furniture maker Selva Company’s American division, Selva America, will celebrate the historical 100th Anniversary of the High Point Market, in April, by encouraging showroom attendees and Market-Goers alike to join in, and give.
Thoughtfully positioned in the company’s High Point showroom entrance, the famous Michelangelo wardrobe will be filled to the brim with pillows throughout Market, as showroom attendees and Market-goers are invited to donate $1. For every $1 raised (up to $100) a pillow will be added to the wardrobe and donated to families in the Triad through Emergency Interiors, a Greensboro based non-profit organization committed to serving those in need of furnishings and household goods, following Market (every dollar beyond $100, will become a direct monetary donation).
According to Mike Herren, Managing Director Selva America, the company is thrilled to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the High Point Market in this way. “For 100 years the High Point Market has been a meaningful event to the community’s growth and success. Our hope is that this donation honors that success and dream.”
The company’s showroom located in the 200 Steele Building in the upper echelon Hamilton Street District, is on the building’s first floor, Suite 132. A container based in the company’s showroom near the Michelangelo Wardrobe will be available to receive donations.

About the Michelangelo Wardrobe
The Michelangelo Wardrobe was inspired by an original 16th or 17th century drawing from the Buonarroti Museum of Florence. The museum is at the site of the renowned artist’s home, which was restored in the early 17th century by his grand-nephew, Michelangelo Buonarroti the Younger.
Authentically reproduced, the Selva Michelangelo Wardrobe is crafted of genuine solid Italian walnut, with distinctive walnut veneers. The wardrobe, which by regulation must be crafted to the original drawing’s exact specifications, brings an authentic piece of art and history into the home.
