La-Z-Boy Representative Ron Van Rossum Retires

La-Z-Boy announced that after four decades of service to La-Z-Boy, sales representative Ron Van Rossum is retiring.  Van Rossum, known affectionately in the La-Z-Boy family as “RVR,” leaves behind a legacy of unparalleled customer service and commitment to the La-Z-Boy brand.  He was honored at a retirement dinner during the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, N.C.
 
In 41 years with La-Z-Boy, Van Rossum saw brand spokespeople ranging from Joe Namath and Jim Backus to raccoons Wendall and Al.  He witnessed the phenomenal success of the La-Z-Boy Reclina-Rocker® and the birth – and growth – of the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries® store network.  Along the way, Van Rossum offered his expertise to dealers and customers in Oklahoma, Ohio and southern Michigan before landing in southern California, where he spent the last 21 years.
 
“RVR has been integral to the development of the La-Z-Boy store network and brand in southern California,” said Greg White, senior vice president of sales and merchandising for La-Z-Boy.  “His long tenure at La-Z-Boy has made him an important part of the company’s culture and heritage, and his consistent success has earned him the respect of the entire La-Z-Boy community.”
 
In addition to winning numerous La-Z-Boy sales awards, Van Rossum holds the distinct honor of having opened more La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores than any other representative.
