Kent Benson has joined Worldwide Logistics as General Manager of the Florida Region, and will manage the operations of their new service center located at 2424 Orlando Central Parkway, Orlando, FL 32809 and handle sales for the state. Kent was previously the Vice President & General Manager of Southern Furniture Transport, based in Orlando from 1996 until their recent closing. He reports to Rowland Branham Vice President Eastern US Region for WWL.
Mr. Branham says this is a great opportunity for WWL to expand their service centers into one of the top retail markets in the country. Since the merger of six specialized furniture transportation companies creating Worldwide Logistics, our model is to be a full service transportation provider to all points in the US and Canada. The addition of a local service center in Florida will expand that model and enhance the services we are already providing into that market.
Dan Hunt, CEO feels that having a local service center, combined with Kent Benson's experience and knowledge is important to their growth in that market. It will offer the Florida retailers a direct transportation option from furniture vendors through-out the US and Canada, along with commercial and office furniture pool distribution, that they are unable to receive in the region from any other transportation service provider.
