The International Casual Furnishings Association announced changes in its Board of Directors.
Russ Sorenson of Hanamint has been elected to the ICFA Executive Committee. He is filling the unexpired term of Dean Engelage, who has left the outdoor furniture industry.
Eric Parsons of Gloster has been elected to the ICFA Board of Directors for a term ending in 2011.
Filling a board seat reserved for sales representatives, Todd Crandall of Crandall & Associates has been named to a term also ending in 2011.
Finally, Bill Brown of Brown Jordan International has rejoined the ICFA Board of Directors.
The International Casual Furnishings Association also announced that it will hold its 2009 Annual Meeting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, at the International Casual Furniture and Accessories Market in Chicago.
The meeting will be held in the Merchandise Mart Conference Center on the second floor, across the pedestrian bridge. Members will be asked to vote on the 2010 ICFA officers and board of directors. A brief association update will include important information on member benefits and services. The 2010 ICFA budget will be reviewed for approval. A continental breakfast will be available in advance of the meeting, beginning at 7 a.m.
Also during the Casual Market, ICFA will open a new lounge for member companies. Located on the southwest corner of the Merchandise Mart’s eighth floor (near the sales office), the lounge will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 21, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, September 22-23. On the closing day of the market, Thursday, September 24, the lounge will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
ICFA members are invited to stop by the lounge for light refreshments, for networking with other members, or simply for a quick rest stop away from market traffic. Prospective members are also invited to visit the lounge to learn more about the benefits of ICFA membership.
