Henredon announced that it will be a sponsor of the 2009 Concept Home, located in The Farm at Summerfield neighborhood in northwest Guilford County. Opening on September 17th, the spectacular 6,600-square-foot show home will be open to the public for tours through October 4th. Proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
The Concept Home, which is on the market for $1.75 million, will showcase the latest in innovative home products (such as central lighting controls, security systems and elevators), finishes, building materials and decorating trends. Pieces from Henredon’s Spring Lake, Castellina and Acquisitions Collections will be featured in rooms throughout the home. Built by Otey Construction, the fully furnished four-bedroom, five-and-one-half-bath home has over 6,600 square feet of living space as well as a four-car garage, four covered porches, a lush terrace and an outdoor kitchen. The interior features an elegant rustic design with a timber-framed vaulted ceiling in the living room and a magnificent Tennessee fieldstone fireplace – all of which complement the beautiful setting of The Farm at Summerfield.
“All of us at Henredon are happy to participate in the 2009 Concept Home and to give back to the local community. Everyone who visits the home will walk away feeling great – it’s a truly spectacular home,” said Jeff Arthur, vice president of sales and marketing for Henredon. “Hopefully this will get consumers excited about what’s new in home furnishings, and encourage them to visit their local furniture retailers.” The Concept Home has been the subject of a weekly series on WXII 12.Viewers have watched the construction of the home and now have an opportunity to tour it. It will be open for three weekends beginning Thursday, September 17th. The public can tour Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 am to 6 pm and Sundays from Noon to 6pm. Admission is $10 at the door.
