Las Vegas Design Center announced that it is more than a physical resource for design, it is now an online destination thanks to the launch of its new website, www.LVDesignCenter.com.
The site was designed by Las Vegas Design Center in partnership with MODE, a branding and interactive studio based in Charlotte, N.C.
The new and improved web-based tool allows visitors to plan their visit to LVDC before even setting foot on its Las Vegas campus. That’s not only helpful, but almost a necessity considering the campus consists of 500,000 square feet and nearly 60 showrooms. Now, visitors can prepare by using a searchable online directory, online registering capabilities and a matrix featuring LVDC showroom products, among other features.
The new website is the premiere go-to resource for anything related to LVDC, and beyond. Content also includes designer resources, contact information for local design organizations as well as an improved LVDC events section and concierge page. It’s all presented in a seamlessly efficient manner, and, in step with the mission of Las Vegas Design Center, the site’s aesthetics were given as much priority as the content.
“We are redefining the business model for design centers in a way that emphasizes the value and accessibility of exceptional design, and we needed a website that would effectively communicate that message to members of the architecture and interior design community and consumers alike,” says Randy Wells, vice president, Las Vegas Design Center. “For us, the priority was to create a highly intuitive, easy to use website that would accurately convey the spirit and energy of Las Vegas Design Center and we’re thrilled with the experience that MODE delivered.”
The online directory is an important facet of the new website. It’s searchable by showroom name as well as product type, so visitors can get a sense of all that LVDC has to offer, right at their fingertips.
John Pietrafesa, creative director/partner at MODE, says the website caters to three different audiences: consumers, design professionals and tenants.
-
Consumers can peruse features and products and schedule free consultations and tours via the Design Salon, which pairs them with a licensed interior designer from American Society of Interior Designers.
-
Design professionals benefit from the website’s efficiency. They’re able to interface with the offerings of the LVDC showrooms in a number of different ways, depending on their needs—alphabetically, by line or by product. They can also consult the site for updates about regular and special events.
-
Existing and prospective tenants can research the layout and view other colleagues.
“Above all else, the most important priority on any website is ease of use. We've worked to make the Las Vegas Design Center website intuitive, easy to navigate and extremely functional,” says Pietrafesa. “It reflects the Las Vegas Design Center’s desire to extend its reach beyond the physical institution and become a community dedicated to supporting and promoting exceptional design for consumers and professionals.”
