Hall of Fame Documentary Marks Tenth Anniversary

American Furniture Hall of Fame Members who were elected in 1989, the first year that elections were held, are featured in a new video, "History & Heroes" Volume 1. It marks the ending of the first decade of the American Furniture Hall of Fame. The video chronicles early days of the industry by featuring the careers and companies of J. D. Bassett (1866-1965), James Edgar Broyhill (1892-1988), Morris Futorian (1907-1994), Edward M. Knabusch (1900-1988), and Peter Kroehler (1872-1950). The tape has been distributed to 29 colleges and universities with 75 faculty members who are teaching furniture-related courses. It is now available for purchase from the Bienenstock Furniture Library, the Furniture Discovery Center and the American Furniture Hall of Fame.
