The International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) announced that Gerry Borreggine, President of Therapedic International, has been appointed to serve as vice chair of the ISPA Board of Trustees. Gerry fills a vacancy that occurred when Don Wright, Vice President of Wright of Thomasville became ISPA Chair last month.
“I am excited about the opportunity to continue my service in this great industry,” noted Borreggine. “In my new leadership role, my priority is to work with our Chairman and Board to define the needs and priorities of the membership and what it will take to engage companies who are not currently members. Once we determine this, it’s up to the Board, committees and staff to come up with programs and services to fulfill these needs. ISPA has to provide services that are valuable to members, and I am 100% confident that ISPA will better understand key needs and will be even more successful after we complete a redefinition process.”
“I am delighted that Gerry has accepted this leadership role,” stated ISPA Chair Don Wright, of Wright of Thomasville. “I look forward to working with Gerry, the Board, and ISPA staff in refocusing our programs and services to better meet the needs of the industry. Gerry and I are committed to reunifying the entire industry and providing value day in and day out.”
Gerry has a long history with ISPA, having served on several committees. He served on the Better Sleep Council (BSC) for over 10 years, and was the chairman for seven years. Gerry was also on the Retailer Committee, and in 2002, received one of the industry’s highest honors, the McMorran Award. Gerry became an ISPA Trustee in 2008, and was appointed to the ISPA Executive Committee later that same year.
