The Bramble Company, a Wisconsin-based wholesaler, and Steven Shell, a successful brand in the U.K. and Europe, have joined forces to launch the Steven Shell brand in the U.S.  Steven Shell will unveil his line, described on his Facebook page as "funky furniture for funky people," at the IHFC's Hamilton Wing, space H241.

"Steven Shell furniture has been made by the Bramble factory (in Indonesia) over the last 15 years," said Robert Bramble, President. "Steve and I have worked together on product development over the years and the look has continued to become more unique and individual. We saw an opportunity to join forces and launch the Steven Shell brand in the States. I'm sure a lot of current Bramble customers will like what they see, but we expect that it will also appeal to those who might not normally buy Bramble."

At Steven Shell, customers can expect a fantastic mixture of rustic, contemporary furniture, accessories, accents and artwork. "You can expect to see over 200 new items," Bramble said. "During the development process it was hard to narrow down the line. We were continually falling in love with each piece."

While the economy has been a challenge, it has also helped the companies with good products, good prices and strong customer service grab new market share, Bramble observed. "I believe there is opportunity out there," he said. "That is why we decided to go ahead with this launch of Steven Shell, and why we chose the IHFC."

Texas-based Cyan Design, known for its wide selection of decorative objects for vibrant interior design, has taken permanent space at the IHFC. Most recently exhibiting in the IHFC's InterHall, Cyan Design moves to the IHFC's Commerce Wing, space C258, to showcase its line of 2,100 ornamental objects, glass vases, garden and patio objects, embellished frames, mirrors, wall decor and lighting fixtures.

This market, visitors to the new Cyan Design showroom can enter for a chance to win a 2009 Smart Car.

Opening in 1921, IHFC was the original showroom building in High Point and after 88 years of expansion remains the centerpiece of the world’s largest home-furnishings trade show that attracts more than 80,000 participants twice a year to 2,000 showrooms covering 11.5 million square feet. IHFC alone is home to 500 of the leading home-furnishings manufacturers, including 13 of the top 20 companies, and covers 3.5 million square feet.
