De Lisa Outlet Adds Power Source To Stationary & Motion Upholstery

Chris De Lisa announced that the Patent Pending “De Lisa Outlet”, to be introduced in 2010 will address a the needs of today’s family’s ever increasing need for power sources in the living room, by making the Sofa, Loveseat, Chair, Recliner, Sectional or any other seating apparatus, the power source. 

"There is no escaping the electronic revolution that has taken hold of the World," noted Chris De Lisa.  "The family room is no longer just a place to gather and watch television; it has become an office, a call center, an arcade and a fully functioning media room.  The current problem 99% of living rooms have, is that most of the outlets are blocked by Sofa’s, Sectionals, Wall Units, End tables, T.V. Stands, etc., etc., and the outlets that aren’t being blocked, are used by Lamps, baby monitors and a host of other gadgets." 

"The extra need for outlets in the Living Room," he continued, "has mostly been addressed in the past by throwing unsightly extension cords behind a sofa and then struggling to move that sofa when you needed to plug in a vacuum, a laptop, a Game Boy, a heating pad, or whatever else you needed plugged in at that moment.  Some of the most obvious solutions to our problems are sometimes, the ones that don’t get solved.   But, in this case, there is a solution."

Christopher De Lisa, the current President of the Greater New York Home Furnishings Association, former Retailer and Vice President of Sales of Home Line Industries, is in talks with Major Upholstery Manufacturers abroad, to bring this innovation to the living rooms of every household in America, and beyond.

Upholstery Manufacturers through the years have put radios in wedges, coolers in recliners, massagers in chairs, but, what makes De Lisa’s innovation patentable and different from the rest, is that the “De Lisa Outlet” makes the upholstery itself, the power source.  Unlike the past wave of outlets in entertainment centers, home office desks and most recently nightstands, which of course, are all case goods, De Lisa’s patent is the first of its kind to bring it to a category no one ever dreamed needing power,  upholstery.

Chris ended with these words, “In recent times, the Furniture Industry hasn’t come out with anything that created a buzz with consumer’s causing them to say “I need that”.   This is an innovation that can achieve that buzz.” 

“As Salespeople, Manufacturers, and Retailers, we are always pointing out the features and benefits of our merchandise to help separate us from our competitors.
