Buster Mann, Vice President Eastern Division for Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company, one of the nation’s largest integrated manufacturers and an international supplier of components for the furniture and bedding industries, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Specialized Furniture Carriers Association (SFCA).
A division of the American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA), the SFCA is a network of furniture carriers whose primary function is to transport furniture products throughout North America.
Mann will represent the 225-member Suppliers Group of the AHFA, which is comprised of a diverse group of companies supplying products and services to the residential furniture industry. He previously served the AHFA’s Supplier Group as its president.
"I am proud to be asked to represent the Suppliers Group on the SFCA Board of Directors," Mann said. "I look forward to working with the other members of the board to stimulate the strategic thinking and operating intelligence companies need to improve profitability by managing the global supply chain in today’s global marketing environment.”
The Specialized Furniture Carriers Association (SFCA) was formed in 1986 for carriers whose primary function is to transport furniture products throughout North America. A network of the very best furniture carriers serving North America, the SFCA is dedicated to improving the furniture transportation industry through networking, representation, newsletters, and exchanging information. Through the SFCA, members work together to improve operations, advance information systems, expand capabilities, and share knowledge to improve the furniture industry. The SFCA became a division of the American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA) on July 30, 2009.
