Service Lamp announced that it is sponsoring a fluorescent lighting seminar for furniture retailers on January 20. The three-hour seminar features specially constructed panels that allow lighting experts to demonstrate features of fluorescent lighting. The seminar will be held in the U.S. headquarters of Philips Lighting Company, Somerset, NJ, just 50 minutes from the George Washington Bridge.

The interest in fluorescent lighting has increased because of rising energy costs and regulations restricting the use of less efficient T-12 lighting fixtures, lamps and ballasts. Philips Lighting experts will discuss the cost saving benefits of changing from T-12 to T-8 or T-5 as well as new, energy efficient fluorescent lamps. The benefits of lighting controls, as a means of achieving sustainable lighting will also be discussed.

Persons interested in attending or in learning more about the seminar can call Jeana Tuddenham at 800-222-LAMP (5267). Jeana, Service Lamp’s VP of sales and marketing, regularly attends the High Point Furniture Market where the company has a permanent display.
