Debuting at the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, the Slumber Air‘ mattress system is a La-Z-Boy exclusive that ingeniously combines an air mattress with the Supreme Comfort Mattress by La-Z-Boy for luxurious support. "The Slumber Air‘ mattress system is going to change the way people think about sofa beds," says Greg White, vice president of merchandising for La-Z-Boy. "It’s the kind of innovation that comes from our commitment to listening to our customers and developing products that meet their needs." The one-of-a-kind system consists of a five-inch air mattress that rests on top of the four-inch Supreme Comfort Mattress to produce incredible comfort. Set-up is simple: a special valve on the air mattress allows it to inflate or deflate easily in 45 seconds. Both mattresses are encased in ticking and are separated by a non-skid material so that the air mattress will not move once it is inflated. Sofa beds are the perfect solution for those who want to offer their guests a place to sleep, but may not have the space for an extra bed. The Slumber Air™ system folds easily into the cavity of any La-Z-Boy 51 or 52 prefix style queen size or full size sofa bed, as well as stationary and motion sectionals. "We think the response to the Slumber Air™ mattress system is going to be very strong, so we’re making it available in a wide variety of sofa styles," said White. "It’s so comfortable that people might start encouraging their guests to sleep in the master bedroom, so they can have the sofa bed." Sofa beds featuring the Slumber Air™ mattress system will be on display April 19-27 at the La-Z-Boy showroom located in Space 103 of the Furniture Plaza Building in High Point.
