Diamond Furniture Honored By Tri-State Home Furnishings Association

Diamond Furniture has received the award for Retail Advertiser of the Year 2000 at the annual awards dinner of the Tri-State Home Furnishings Association. Each year, the association honors furniture retailers and representatives for their various contributions to the furniture industry. Diamond Furniture's award for excellence in retail advertising is due in part to the company's high impact building graphics on Interstate 95 between Allegheny and Girard Avenues and having that location highlighted in daily traffic reports on CBS radio as "Diamond Furniture Hill". "It's the only retail traffic landmark in America", said Gary Diamond, president of Diamond Furniture, who accepted the award. Diamond explained that it had taken six years of negotiations with CBS to have the location on 1-95 referred to as "Diamond Furniture Hill" in morning and evening drive times on KYW-AM (1060), WPHT-AM (1210) and WOGL-FM (98.1). Diamond Furniture has six locations in Philadelphia and South Jersey and has served area residents since 1927.
