Feizy Rugs announced that it will show three lifestyle trends-- Nomad, Ethereal and Alchemy—in three distinct areas titled, Nomad, Etherial and Alchemy in High Point.
For more than 2500 years, rugs have been used to adorn not only the most elegant of settings but also the most common. Wherever placed, transformation of the environment was and to this day remains key.
Nomads used rugs as a means to cover beaten-earth floors, transforming new patches of tent-covered land into homes.
Simultaneously utilitarian and decorative in nature, these often simple rugs lent comfort and warmth wherever they were laid.
In Nomad, rich spice tones spiked with bright accents color traditional, tribal and eclectic patchwork designs. Casual in style, these pieces evoke visions of gypsy camps and vagabonds.
The devout used rugs to cover the floors of their places of worship, with the intricate designs and knots transforming an ordinary building into a space where man could experience the Ethereal.
Ethereal makes an impact with transitional patterns and soft colors. Minimalist in feel, these collections create a sense of serenity and modernity. Crisp and clean, the play of light against flat and metallic hues imparts a sense of warmth that belies the simplicity of these designs, becoming almost otherworldly.
Royals bedecked their palaces with the most stunning and elegant examples of the art of weaving. Golden empires grew from barren lands and the quest for spiritual and physical transmutation of the ordinary into the extraordinary, the imperfect to the perfect began to take hold with the spread of Alchemy.
Alchemy looks are timeless yet individual. Revitalized traditional, tribal looks utilizing an updated palette add new dimensions to classic patterns. Natural elements such as large-scale florals and detailed Caucasian design elements abound in this grouping. These designs suit a wide range of interiors from traditional to contemporary.
Feizy will be debuting several collections at the High Point market. Cherished designs from ages past come alive in the Namche Collection, an addition to the Feizy Fine Collection. The casual feel of these tribal-inspired designs belies their intricacy. Hand knotted in premium hand-spun wool, Mahal, Samarkand and Kazak patterns are revitalized with a palette of colors so rich and varied, they will work easily into today’s home furnishings.
The Saphir Mah, Zam and Azar Collections are all being added to the Feizy Home Collection. These power loomed groupings feature transitional and contemporary designs in a high/low pile in three distinct color palettes. Viscose piles impart a lush sheen and incomparably soft hand.
The Ashi Collection will make its High Point debut. Vibrant colors and a lustrous sheen are the hallmarks of this collection. Rustic yet refined, these bold patterns are hand knotted in only the finest hand spun wool, then antique washed to impart a soft hand and glowing patina.
Feizy Rugs will host a cocktail party Tuesday, April 20th from 5 pm - 7pm. Stop by 145 Market Square showroom for live entertainment, palm readings, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
